Yeah
so I went to Sands Casino today in PA. I was dominating the tables and
more than doubled up playing 1/2NL until things started not going my
way. My image was awesome, I literally could have any 2 cards. I was
raising with an extremely wide range of hands almost every other hand. I
had a few orbits I raised 9/10 pots pre. I was getting a lot of action
and I was hitting hands which made for a very easy day. About 4 hours
in I wake up with TT and flop top set (flop: Tc 6h 4h) Bet $25 into a
$40 pot. I get 2 callers. Turn comes Kc I bet $75 guy to my left jams
other guy fold I call. River 9c, guy to my lefts shows JcQc, straight
flush. so lame not cool. He did what I want from player it just played
out like garbage. What he put me on when he flop flatted me idk but I
can't really blame him for trying something with the way I was playing.
just amazingly unlucky for me. Very curious to what he would have done
if blank came on turn. Anyways moving on...
very next
hand I flop top 2 pair Q8 (flop Qc 8d 4h) first to act checks middle
positions bets $25 into $40 pot. I raise 3x ($75) folds around to
initial guy that checked, he flats along with middle position. Wtf does
every one have. Turn 9c its checks to me, i am very skeptical of
everyone's hand at this point. I check as well. I figured first to act
had a hand like TJ, or maybe a set of 4's and under playing. River 8c
first to act bets $50, middle fold, think for a while and figure what
could this guy ever have here that beets me. I shove he calls flips
over TcJc. Awesome flop call! very nice.
So I ended up
running into back to back straight flushes, both being runner runner. It
was not cool and upset me a lot obv. But I cant really complain cause
it is tough to get respect when playing a super aggressive style of poker. Next time I just need to run better. Over all for the day I lost a few Hundos but still not stopping me from going to Borgata tomorrow night for Wednesdays BSO event.

Just wanted to comment on a hand that I (Steve) was involved in this weekend at Harrah's that we mentioned in the previous post. This is where I try to bluff a younger player two to my left and I fail, but I think It has helped me reinforce a discussion Shawn, Me and a few other players have been having over the past couple of weeks about bluffing in 1/2. Lucky enough we had Shawn's fiance Candice there to snap a picture of me in deep thought lol.
I'm the button, as you can see in the picture, and I get dealt 57dd. Utg limps and it folds to me I make it $11, BB (villian) calls, utg calls. Flop comes AJ9hhh and they both check relatively quickly. I continue for $23, and they both call. My thought here was to rep an A and get one of them to call with a big draw, so I can bet again on blank turns or just give up if the turn connects. Turn was a 3c, so a blank but now there's two of them in and I've been playing pretty LAG, Both check again and I think about betting but I feel both are capable of already having the flush and are now just trapping so I check. River Jc. Young Asian kid a little while ago bought in for ~$100 2 or 3 times and punted them away, has since come back with a fresh stack of $300 and has built himself up to a ~$400, leads for $60. Utg folds and I start to think this guy almost always has the flush here, but now the board is paired and my hand could very well be AJ, A9, J9 type of hands so I tank for like a minute before making it $190. He thinks for about 30 seconds all the while saying stuff like crap what did I get myself into and then says oh well gotta gamble and calls. I show and he shows Q4hh for the flush.
Still not sure whether this is a good bluff or not, or whether bluffing in on a larger scale at 1/2 is good in a general sense whatsoever. But, I just wanted to post this to reference it for further use and to see If anyone actually read this thing. So if you happen to read this, what do think? Good/Bad? does he fold to a shove?

Flatcall Went to AC Friday night. We went to celebrate Shawn's Birthday at Harrahs Pool Bar. Played on the tables from 6-10pm made some cash then went to the club to celebrate. After the pool bar Flatcall got back on the tables. Played 1/2, Steve was consistently doing well the entire night. Shawn started part 2 of the night off with a few buy ins, then finally found his place and started running good. They played from 3-11am and made some cash along with a few new fans. After cash the guys packed up and went home. Got some lunch at a tasty Mexican Restaurant in Absecon ( very good had to mention).
Flatcall Was not done playing. That night still without sleep Flatcall went to Mt Airy to play more cash. Arrived around 10pm left around 3am. Steve ran well early then went card dead for a few hours. over all he cashed out for about $5 hundo profit. Shawn ran into a tight table with little action and ran like garbage for the first few hours .A couple of people left and the table received a few new players. LOOSE!!! Shawn ended up doubling up and then some. Over all flatcall made a profit of about $1.5k this weekend. End Result, Flatcall is free rolling Wednesday's BSO!!!
