Yeah
so I went to Sands Casino today in PA. I was dominating the tables and
more than doubled up playing 1/2NL until things started not going my
way. My image was awesome, I literally could have any 2 cards. I was
raising with an extremely wide range of hands almost every other hand. I
had a few orbits I raised 9/10 pots pre. I was getting a lot of action
and I was hitting hands which made for a very easy day. About 4 hours
in I wake up with TT and flop top set (flop: Tc 6h 4h) Bet $25 into a
$40 pot. I get 2 callers. Turn comes Kc I bet $75 guy to my left jams
other guy fold I call. River 9c, guy to my lefts shows JcQc, straight
flush. so lame not cool. He did what I want from player it just played
out like garbage. What he put me on when he flop flatted me idk but I
can't really blame him for trying something with the way I was playing.
just amazingly unlucky for me. Very curious to what he would have done
if blank came on turn. Anyways moving on...
very next
hand I flop top 2 pair Q8 (flop Qc 8d 4h) first to act checks middle
positions bets $25 into $40 pot. I raise 3x ($75) folds around to
initial guy that checked, he flats along with middle position. Wtf does
every one have. Turn 9c its checks to me, i am very skeptical of
everyone's hand at this point. I check as well. I figured first to act
had a hand like TJ, or maybe a set of 4's and under playing. River 8c
first to act bets $50, middle fold, think for a while and figure what
could this guy ever have here that beets me. I shove he calls flips
over TcJc. Awesome flop call! very nice.
So I ended up
running into back to back straight flushes, both being runner runner. It
was not cool and upset me a lot obv. But I cant really complain cause
it is tough to get respect when playing a super aggressive style of poker. Next time I just need to run better. Over all for the day I lost a few Hundos but still not stopping me from going to Borgata tomorrow night for Wednesdays BSO event.
